Below you will find the forms and checklists available from Build Waikato to assist you in your Building Consent process. Please note that any application related to a Building Consent still needs to go directly to your local Council. Build Waikato is simply a resource library of forms, checklists and useful information for your project.
This page contains the application forms and applicant checklists used for email or paper Building Consent applications across the WBCG.
Please Note: If your Council provides an online submission service, you do not need to use the application forms or applicants checklists below as these forms are embedded in their online system. Please check your local Councils submission system before downloading the forms.
In this section you will also find the supporting documents you may need to submit with your Building Consent application or at the completion of your project. If your Council does online submissions they may still require that you use some of the supporting document forms.

Please Note: If you are applying for a new Building Consent or a Certificate of Acceptance, you will also need to complete the correct applicant checklist to accompany your application. Forms are available in both PDF and Interactive (fillable) PDF formats.
Also Note: Details of the specified systems (safety systems) must be provided with any building consent application where there are specified systems associated with the building. These details must include the performance standards and the proposed inspection, maintenance and reporting procedures for the specified safety systems in the building. You will find the required forms below under the heading – Compliance Schedule Detail Forms.
You can save time for yourself and Council by using our processing checklists to check that your plans are ready to submit. All items on the checklist must be compliant with the building code. Save money by being prepared through minimizing additional costs and time delays. Check that any required documentation is accurate and complete.

If you are providing a Producer Statement, check that you have provided adequate information. Your Producer Statement will be checked against the Producer Statement Checklist. If this information has not been provided, your Producer Statement will be rejected until you provide all the required information.

These checklists are available for you to use as part of your own quality checks to ensure all the required work is compliant with the approved Building Consent documents.
