The Waikato Building Consent Group is a cluster of five Councils who work together to bring consistency to the Building Consent process. The group consists of the Building Control Units from:
This site is for anyone in the local building industry or involved in a building project, large or small. It provides information on the Building Consent process and requirements, information on the different types of building projects, as well as other relevant information you may need for your building project. You can also access application forms and checklists, and links to other useful sites. If you require further information in regards to your building project please contact the Building Unit of your local Council to find out more. |

Preventing falls from height, Serious Harm, the Health & Safety in Employment Act 1992 & the Construction Sector Action Plan

From 1 July 2012, health and safety inspectors (Department of Labour) will be enforcing the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992 in the construction sector as part of the Labour Group’s Preventing Falls from Height project......
